Community Child Health

Overview

The Department of Community Child Health provide a specialist service that aims to provide a comprehensive assessment of children from birth up to school leaving age.

This includes specialist services for vulnerable children (Child Protection and Adoption & Fostering) and core community child health services including neuro developmental and neurodisability assessments, management and coordination of care through joint working with colleagues within health and other agencies.

This service is delivered widely through Child Development Teams situated in specific geographical areas across Aberdeen City and Shire.
