Overview
Oral health is vitally important and has a profound impact on our general health. Good dental hygiene from an early age is crucial.
If you don’t have a dentist, please visit Dental Practice Registration Availability or call NHS Grampian DIAL helpline on 0345 45 65 990. They can give you details of NHS dentists close to you, give you dental advice and arrange an emergency appointment. If you have an acute dental emergency at night or the weekend, call NHS 24 on 111.
Childsmile Programme
Childsmile is a national programme designed to improve the oral health of children in Scotland and reduce inequalities both in dental health and access to dental services. Please visit their website to access more information about the Childsmile Programme, along with information and resources for Parents and Carers as well as Professionals.
There are three Childsmile Co-ordinators covering the Grampian region. They lead and support the local delivery of the programme.
