Rheumatology

Overview

The paediatric rheumatology team at RACH work as part of a Scottish managed clinic network, the Scottish Paediatric Adolescent Rheumatology Network (SPARN), standardising paediatric rheumatology care across Scotland. We support children with the following conditions:

  • Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis
  • Scleroderma
  • Paediatric Vasculitis
  • Juvenile Dermatomyositis
  • Systemic lupus erythematous


Referrals are made to us via the patient’s GP or other health professionals/specialist services.


The paediatric rheumatology team comprises of:  one paediatric rheumatologist, two paediatric rheumatology nurses, one physiotherapist and one occupational therapist.
