Paediatric Medicine

Overview

Medical Paediatrics is a large department covering the health of all of the body’s systems. General paediatricians manage medical conditions affecting infants, children and young people, from babies through to teenagers. Within our service we also have more specialised teams who look after each system in more details, including our respiratory team, cardiology service, gastrointestinal paediatricians, paediatric neurologists, paediatric rheumatologists, infectious disease and immunology specialists, renal team, metabolic team and endocrine & diabetes team. Many of our specialist teams work closely within a network of similar specialists across Scotland.
